Coming Home/Facing Re-Entry Two-Day Workshop

Published

This two-day Workshop is September 17 from 9 a.m.–3:30 p.m. and September 18 from 9 a.m.–2:30 p.m. It is open to all American Indians from any federally recognized tribe in the U.S. who are currently transitioning from a period of incarceration, or who hold a criminal background and are experiencing core entry challenges. The workshop will discuss overcoming three core re- entry challenges (housing, employment, and relapse prevention) for American Indians with a focus on cultural engagement and resources available through the American Indian organizations in
the Twin Cities area and throughout the State of Minnesota. Throughout the workshop, we will hear from those who have successfully made it through the barriers of re-entry, utilized the resources available, and are now living a healthy and self- sufficient lifestyle. The workshop is limited to 75 participants.
