Exhibit opening Friday, May 25, 10 a.m.–5 p.m.
Reception 6–8 pm. Mille Lacs Band Members will be honored that will be added to our Veteran's Honor Wall in the museum.
Discover the remarkable history of the brave Native American and Alaska Native men and women who have served in the United States military. Presented in 16 full-color banners, plus additional banners developed by MNHS with content about the efforts of Native Americans from Minnesota and the surrounding area.

MINNESOTA AMERICAN INDIAN STORIES & STORYTELLERS FILM FESTIVAL
Saturday May 26, 1–10 p.m.
View short and feature films by and about Minnesotan Native Americans throughout the day, including the feature films Little Crow and the Dakota War and A Good Day to Die: Dennis Banks and the American Indian Movement.

AMERICAN INDIAN MUSIC FEST
Sunday, May 27, 11 a.m.–5 p.m.
Enjoy music performed by some of Minnesota’s premier American Indian musicians, including traditional drummer Arlyn Sam (Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe), Native American flute player Max Blake (Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe), singer/songwriter Leah Lemm (Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe), hip hop rapper Tall Paul (Leech Lake Ojibwe), and Native American Blues Band Bluedog (Dakota). Sound provided by DJ Austin Owen (Dakota).
Dawn Day's Frybread stand will be open from 11 am-5 pm Sunday only!

AMERICAN INDIAN ARTIST SHOWCASE
Sunday & Monday, May 27 & 28, 11 a.m.–5 p.m.
Meet some of Minnesota’s premier Native American artists as they discuss and demonstrate their art and craft. Learn about materials used and the meaning behind the work. Shop for a wide range of Native art inside the trading post.

MEMORIAL DAY POWWOW
Monday, May 28, Noon-5 p.m.
Bring the family and join museum staff and community members to participate in this social gathering honoring veterans past and present. Experience firsthand the excitement and joy of a contemporary powwow.
